Another hit for Ms. Arthur. I love the Donovan Family. I like that the author is bringing more life and history to this family. I can't wait for Savian's story. With the new sinister villains, the Elders will eventually have to expose their secret. I love the suspense. I wonder if the next in the series will unite the Bennetts, Donovans, Desdune and Lakefield families?
All I can say is WOW! So much came together in this book and yet I can't wait for the next one. I complete fell for Brandon and felt his pain when everything went crazy. I've read all of The Donovans, The Laakefields, The Desdunes & The Bennetts stories and I've yet to be disappointed. I don't know how I will manage after the last Donovan book. Thanks A.C.
A C never disappoints and Embraced By A Donovan lived up to its name. Parker's admiration and attraction to Adrianne slowly built up but when sparks fly, they did. Then there are all the other underlying issues that kept you on edge. Can't wait for the follow up
I have to say I read many of A.C. books but I have to be real the " Donovans" series have always been my favorite between the lies, murders, scandals, crazy as hell ex lover's, finding love, jealousy, it can go on and on and on for me I hope it does I never have gotten tried of reading about this family, can't wait for Roslyn and her son to be exposed, your SINS will always come to the light, can't wait to see how the senior Donovans brothers handle there's secret from 38 years earlier. Parker Donovan six four handsome has eyes only for one woman only by the name of Adriana Bennett.Adriana is a star on one of one of the Donovan tv shows that is well loved she is top billing to some and a pain in the butt for other that are out to set her up she also hiding some very horrific secrets that only someone that loves you can help you with.Parker Donovan has secretly been in love with the star of his show for a year but only did he no his ex-wife wanted him back troubles ahead for all of them hiding in the dark in the corner of the room.Embraced by a Donovan is a awesome book i love this book so much i am so waiting on my next Donovan book enjoy.
Lots of elements to this story. First you have a 38 year old secret that is yet to be revealed but is affecting the entire Donovan family. You have an 7-8 year secret that is revealed to the Bennett family, and has caused so much pain for one Bennett, Adriana that you cannot help but want it all to go away. With the two secrets, the family being brought together, you are left wondering how it will all pan out. Top with the underlying story of Parker and Adriana relationship, you wonder how they will survive. Several questions go unanswered but the book itself is worth the read. Slow and steady. Lots of turns. Suspenseful. Jaw dropping. One side character that one begs to know more about, Savian. He will definitely be someone that draws you in. Without giving the plot away, just want to call out Jaydon, the woman is bad, it's up to you, to decide if that's a good thing.
I agree with A.C. Arthur's other fans, this book is awesome. I'm sorry to say, I'm not sure which I liked more Parker/Adrianna's story, glimpses into Seniors issue, or Savian's mysterious behavior. I can't believe Parker waited a whole year to pursue his feelings for Adrianna..he took his time to go after his woman..that was good. Adrianna had some issues she needed to work through, and it appears Parker was the last piece to her healing process. Now, we have the Seniors ( I love that description), who have a secret from the past haunting them..we're all dying to know what happened and to whom. Whatever it is, I'm surprised they think they can keep it from their wives and kids..they're sorely underestimating them. Finally, my "in my head husband" Savian, is broody, contemplative, mysterious..what's going on with him?? What is he hiding/ researching? Hopefully, his story will be next. For this, I can't wait.
This is a great story..you'll be fine, but a little unconnected if you didn't read the previous books to familiarize yourself with not only the characters, but their feel and interactions with each other. You won't be disappointed.
