Chance Becket's life was mapped out. He'd one day own the ranch he grew up on, have a family, and be the son he was raised to be, like all good boys in Small Town, U.S.A.
When his high school sweetheart calls for a break during her last semester of college, the last place Chance thought he'd end up was in his old friend Bradley's bed.
Bradley Heart blasted out of the closet before his family could name him heir apparent to his father's church. After six years away, a job layoff has him coming home to work behind the scenes. He and his father have little interaction and he's fine with it staying that way when he returns home. Going back into the closet, for any reason, is not on his list of things to do. But Chance may prove too much a temptation, especially with the simmering feelings they’ve had for one another since they were teens.
Confused over his sexuality, Chance has to decide what’s more important -- loyalty to his family and the path set forth, or the promise of happiness with not just the only man, but the only person, he's ever really wanted.
Includes a very toppy accountant, a cowboy who'd rather be in the kitchen, porn positions, some spanking, and absolutely zero religion other than worshipping... You know.

WOW! I just don't know what else to say about this book. Kade has always been a wonderful author and I have always adored his books, but this book has just floored me. From the beginning it was clear that Chance had...issues. the way he embraced his new feelings and took his time to explore his feelings for Bradley spoke of his maturity. On the other hand, the fact that he didn't want to upset everyone else's plans they had for him showed his vulnerable youthful side. Bradley was a man that believed he was strong and independent and didn't need anyone's approval. Both Chance and Bradley had a lot to learn but I loved the fact that they learned it together. There were none of the cliched "misunderstandings" that abound in this genre. These two characters did this crazy thing called talking to one another and MAN was that a breath of fresh air.Kade has once again taken my breath away with this one. I promise you won't want to miss Chance and Bradley's journey. Tell your friends, tell everyone you know, they HAVE to read this book!

Chance of the Heart edition by Kade Boehme Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Chance of the Heart is a groundbreaking, intense and vivid tale that will put Kade Boehme at the top of the Erotica Bestsellers list . . .and for a long time.
Chance Becket’s discovery of himself as a human being and as a homosexual man was heart-warming in a sense. After a heart-breaking breakup with his girlfriend, he ended up on the other side of the sunny Texas playing field, swinging for a different team but still playing ball. To be straightforward, he found himself in his good friend’s bed, well, things happen after a break-up like you confide in someone close to you and ending up catching feelings for them. Bradley Heart is the strikingly handsome, drop-dead gorgeous Texan boys and girls fall head over heels for, and the readers at Al-Khemet Book Club was no exception, I particularly loved this couple! #CB4LIFE
This was a very compelling and deeply moving coming of age portrayal of two homosexual man journey to true love and self-discovery and grappling with the realities of struggling to be accepted by your loved ones and society at large. Bradley, coming from a Christian oriented family, life has been a tumultuous one but he finds true happiness in Chance, and such a revolutionary love story is for the history books.
Will religion or family bonds and society drive them apart? Or will love triumph? So many questions and this engaging read refused to let me go until the last line was read.
Hozier said it best in his Billboard Hot 100 #2 Hit “The Only Heaven I’ll Be Sent To Is When I’m Alone With You”- Hozier, Take me to Church
I got the triumphant feeling like a pagan while reading this novel, because homosexuals have not only suffered at the hands of their host for a long time but also at the hands of religious sects, whom entire purpose should be about LOVE. Then we are instantly reminded of a very important internet meme.
Buddha was not a Buddhist. Jesus was not a Christian. Muhammad was not a Muslim.
They were teachers who taught love. Love was their religion.
Love is universal and triumphs above all and this is the most important theme in “Chance of the Heart”
I saw fireworks in heaven in that last passionate moment between Chance and Bradley, and “no masters or kings when the ritual begins, there is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin” was playing over and over in my head.
Kade Boehme sealed some dark pack with the devil for undreamed-of mastery over the emotions of men and women and converting many to M/M romance. This heart-pounding, skin-to-skin, breathtaking book is a must read. I expect to see more of Kade Boehme for years to come.
Al-Khemet Book Club, Feb 2015
I absolutely loved this book, it's my first read from this Author and it definitely will not be my last.
Kade is a brilliant Author this story is so believable and written so brilliantly.
We meet Chance who has always been there for everyone doing what his family expects but deep inside he is so lost and confused.
Then we meet Bradley, who has been living out of the closet after leaving home after his Reverend father shuns him.
Fast forward these two meet up and sparks fly leaving Chance confused at these new feelings he's having towards a guy, which when he thinks about it he's always been attached to Bradley from their younger years on the rodeo circuit.
This is a beautiful and emotional read of Coming Out and learning to accept what was always your fate . I very highly recommend this Five Star read and look forward to reading more from this author.
There is little for me to say since the most about the book has been said already. But I'd like to add to the choir. It's, after all, a nicely designed story.
Chance is a somewhat overly dutiful younger son, doing what is expected of him without thinking about what is best for him. Until he one day experiences his epiphany.
Chance stopped going to school at 18 and has worked at the ranch since. He has got together with a suitable girl and let others plan his future, suppressing the uncomfortable feeling that his life was not right.
To begin with, Chance is a man of few words. Then he meets Bradley. Not quite old friend, rather an acquaintance from his short career in the arena. A man externally very confident, bordering to aggressive sexually and very out. But under that cocky face there are hidden uncertainties. Those make him impatient and that creates problems while Chance tries to disentangle gently from all those threads tying him down. But all this is what makes the story believable.
Bradley is what Chance needs and vice versa. And the most (except, of course, the emotionally cold Reverend father) come round and accept them.
If I should complain - one of the few flaws in this book is the confusion of names - Rosie for Shelly and Bradley for Chance.
